These are some of the more common questions we get asked by prospective clients before we act for them.

Will you visit us for an initial no-charge consultation?
Yes. It often helps to see your business and accounting records and we are always happy to visit without charge to discuss what we can do for you. If you prefer to visit us, for confidential reasons, that is no problem at all.

How soon can you come to see us?
We will make an arrangement to meet you at a convenient time and location to you as soon as you call us. Normally speaking we can meet you within 24 hours during business hours. We also offer evening meetings however there can be a longer wait that 24 hours as these meeting times fill up fast.

You offer a lot of good services. Are your fees expensive?
No! We offer fixed fees linked to the value of what we provide. We’re not always the cheapest and as with many things the cheapest in the long run is often the most expensive. Buy cheaply and you buy twice. We provide excellent value for what we do. We agree fixed fees in advance so you always know where you stand.

Is your fixed quote guaranteed for more than one year and will you charge much more in Year 2?
We do not low quote to get business for the first year. We want you as a long term client who trusts us to do what we say we will do. We want you to refer us to potential clients if you are satisfied with us. We quote what we anticipate to be a fair fee for the value provided. Sometimes there may be reasons why the amount of work involved exceeded what was expected but we would sit down and discuss these with you in detail regarding year 2 fees. In cases where it is clear exactly what work is involved we can guarantee the fee for more than one year.

Can I pay by instalment to spread the cost of my accounts?
Yes! Many of our clients opt to pay for their Accounts over the course of the year. The benefit for you is there is no lump sum fee to pay at year end. You can budget easily knowing exactly what your monthly payment will be.

How do I know you will deliver on your promises?
The rules and regulations set down by our Institute demand we act for all clients to the best of our ability. However we believe in building long term relationships. We will go the extra mile to make sure our service meets your expectations. We believe that a happy client is a valuable client as you are more inclined to refer us on. I’ve just had my accounts done and don’t need an accountant until this time next year. Is there any need to contact you now?
Yes! Your Accountant should not just appear at the end of the year. The earlier tax and business planning starts the better. Your business is a car. Many accountants sit in the back seat looking out the back window telling you where you have been – telling you what you already know. We sit in the passenger seat beside you, looking forward, holding the roadmap you have for your business. We help you avoid the upcoming obstacles so you can concentrate on driving your business forward.

We can help you to plan and prepare for the future not just report on the past. The early bird catches the worm!

Will you deal with my business quickly and return my telephone calls promptly?
Yes and yes again. All calls, texts and emails will be returned as soon as possible but it will never take longer than 24 hours. You will have the mobile number of your qualified accountant. This is their personal mobile and doesn’t get switched off in the evenings or at weekends.

Can you help me grow my business, cut costs and save tax?
We have a range of value added services geared to benefit clients and their businesses. Our tax department is excellent and can be relied on to ensure you legally pay as little tax as possible. We can pass on our expertise and experience on to you.

Do I need to have my own accounting software?
No. Many of our clients have no accounting software at all and often we recommend they don’t get any as it would be a waste of money for them. We can process the monthly accounts so you save on not having to pay licence fees.

We can also recommend accounting packages suitable to your business and have discounted rates in place with the large accountancy software providers.

Can I view my accounts on the internet?
Yes! We are the first accountants in Ireland to use the popular SageOne Accounts package. It hosts your accounts data on the internet in a secure environment and you only need an internet connection to use it. You can view who owes you money, what your bank balance is and what your profit is all at a glance. The online accounts service is available to all clients.

Is it easy to change accountants and why should I change?
If you are not happy with your current accountant changing over to us is very simple. It can be as easy as us writing to them informing them of the change and we request the usual financial information we need.
